Accommodations

The Midshipman 40 is an extremely spacious boat for 40' center cockpit. Sleeps 6 in this 2 cabin, 2 head center cockpit layout. Great ventilation from over berth hatches and dual cockpit companionways. Throughout there are many, many, Burma teak drawers, lockers, and built-ins that helped make the Choey Lee shipyard famous.

The master stateroom, located aft behind a door down the gangway, is absolutely huge and affords total privacy for the owner. A private companionway entrance from the cockpit creates very private suite. There is 6’-5” standing headroom, a separate private head w/ a full stand-up shower, and plenty of storage throughout. This cabin has twin berths, with forward facing upholstered bench.

Moving forward through a gangway to starboard, you will find a fully equipped navigation station, office, and excellent engine room access. The passageway spills out into a very comfortable and spacious main salon with the galley set to starboard (amidship) and a semi-circular settee and folding table.

Salon & galley separate the two staterooms for unequalled privacy amidship. To port there is a very large semi-circular settee with folding dining table that converts into a double berth. To starboard there is a linear galley with exceptional storage. Forward guest stateroom has a V-berth,that converts to a queen size, and provides a very spacious and private guest quarters. It has excellent storage and again provides full headroom. Forward head is private to the stateroom and doubles as a shower.

Galley is a linear configuration along starboard side of main salon which provides a fun social feel to salon. Huge top-loading refrigerator and freezer. Plenty of counter space and massive dry storage throughout. Large Freezer is located under bunk in aft stateroom.
