Knife River Marina

Dockage And Storage

Knife River Marina Newsletter

February 1, 2024

January felt more like March with unusually warm temperatures. Spring fever has come early this year and has everyone excited for the even warmer weather to come. With spring on the mind, it’s a great time to start planning those summer trips around the lake. Feel free to reach out to      marina staff for travel tips and recommendations to help secure those plans. As the sunlight grows longer each day, we grow more and more eager for summer days to come.

The Knife River office is closed for the winter months. Max and Troy are at Barker’s and  making weekly trips to check on bubblers and everything else. All Knife River calls and payments are being forwarded to Barker’s Island during this time. If you need to speak with Max, leave a   message with Megan at Barker’s and she will have him return your call.

Slip Deposits: Please give Max at Knife River (218-834-6076) or Megan at Barker’s Island (715-392-7131) a call and get your deposit/reservation taken care of as soon as possible; we are now beginning to open up un-reserved slips for new clients.  We will make an effort to contact those who have not placed a reservation on their slips to prevent their loss. All slip holders must have a signed and completed slip lease before they occupy their slip. Dockage is due in full April 1st.

Due to the increased cost of credit card processing, we may start charging a 3% credit card use fee beginning in March. To avoid this fee, you can pay in person with check or cash. If you have any questions please give us a call and we are more than happy to help.

The Duluth Boat/Sport Show is February 15-18!  We will be booth #105, so stop by and say hello to your favorite Barker’s and Knife River employees. We love this event in the winter, it’s a nice way to stretch your legs, view some new and neat things, and visit friends. And don’t forget to get an orange from us!

Make a romantic gesture and list your boat for sale in the month of February!  Nothing says,
“I love you” more than selling or buying a new boat!  Please call John Hoenig if you have any thoughts on selling or buying.  The market is hot despite the cold weather!
